Livelihood Improvement

The majority of the residents in this region are Somalis who practice nomadic pastoralism.

However, in recent years climate change has affected the way land adjudication is handled, which has destabilized their way of life. Conservation is perhaps the next best thing for the people of this region.

Through conservation, we aim to diversify the region’s sources of livelihood with activities such as tourism and sustainable livestock keeping.
