NECA’s capacity lies within the wide range of expertise of its core staff that includes local scientists, conservationists, religious leaders, politicians, women groups’ representatives, youth and other community members. Their community-based approach and strong grassroots network has effectively established a positive attitude of the locals towards conservation. This has given NECA the capacity to efficiently expand and create new conservancies across the biodiversity rich, communal lands in northeastern Kenya. The core team includes:
